Thanks to Rev. Laverne Imori for leading a special Mother’s Day service by Zoom (video conferencing software) on May 10.

When we failed to save a copoy of the session, Laverene Sensei and Dharma School youth recreated their parts fo you can enjoy the service too. So we are just now posting the video.

Laverne Sensei has a Dharma talk for students and parents on the theme of Gratitude and the Practice of Sangha. For Moms she has a brief Dharma talk on their double and triple contriubtion to helping us all get through the pandemic. See also the fun YouTube video she selected of “You Can Count on Me.”

Credits: The slides and most commentary are by Laverne Sensei. Students assisted with readings of The Three Treasures, The Golden Chain, and Our Pledge (Ohtani Kojun, Monshu). We include the musical video with the permission of the performers, Koichi and Kellie Mizushima from Sacramento Betsuin.
