Six Dates Announced for 2020 So Far

The Temple is happy to announce that Bingo nights will continue in 2020, with six nights confirmed so far.

On the following Saturdays, the Temple will open doors at the Annex Hall as before at 4:30 p.m. with the Bingo to commence at 6 p.m. on the following dates:

January 11
February 8
March 14

June 13
September 12
December 5

More dates may yet be announced.

Recent Decision

The Temple Board was able to formally approve the decision earlier this month. We appreciate everyone’s patience prior to the announcement. Temple Board member Ralph Honda will chair the Bingo Committee with many Temple volunteers learning the jobs managed so well and for so long by the Veteran of Foreign Wars Post 4851 (Asian Pacific Post).

Thank You to the VFW

During the intermission, Ralph Honda was able to thank the Post for their hosting of the game for some four decades, with the last 12 years cohosted with the Temple with games offered in the Temple Annex Hall. Attendees gave the VFW volunteers a round of applause.

The Board also appreciates the long advanced notice that the existing team of VFW Bingo volunteers would be retiring in 2020. The delay in the Temple’s decision had nothing to do with the VFW. Instead the Temple was just making sure it would have the manpower to cover the games. We also thank the VFW Bingo team for committing to help train the Temple volunteers for the first fiew games and started with the final game of 2019 on Saturday, December 14.
