Author of Ocean and Buddhism on Air to Speak at Buddhist Temple of San Diego

We welcome Rev. Dr. Kenneth K. Tanaka on Friday, September 20, at 7:00 p.m. as he discusses “Introduction to the Essence and Practice of Shin Buddhism: A Path of Nembutsu for Greater Joy and Meaning in Our Daily Lives.”

Biography

Dr. Tanaka was a professor and Assistant Dean at IBS for 10 years and also served at the So. Alameda Co. Buddhist Church. He recently retired after 20 years as a professor at Musashi-no University in Tokyo, Japan. He has served as president and member of several international academic Buddhist groups, and has won awards and recognition for his academic achievements.

He has authored several books which include his well-known books, Ocean and recently, Buddhism on Air. He is a popular author and speaker and is well known in BCA circles as he presents Shin Buddhism in a very accessible manner. He will also be answering any questions and signing his books.
