GOMEINICHI -- Shinran's
Monthly Memorial

Conducted on the 16th of each month, Gomeinichi in May falls on a Saturday. If you are free, we encourage you to attend this centuries old traditin.

The service will start at 10 a.m. in the Temple Hondo. in this service we express our gratitude to Shinran Shonin as the founder of our tradition. We will chant the Shoshin Nembutse Ge in his honor.

Rev. Sterling Davenport led our last Gomeinichi. The tradition has been maintained by our many resident ministers over the years, am more recently and in recent years by Rev. Hōkai “Smitty” Smith and Bill Teague, CMA, among others.

This month, Arturo Rubio, Certified Minister’s Assistant, will lead the service.

Next month, the Gomeinichi service falls on Tuesday, June 16 in the Hondo, at 10 a.m.
