About the Year of the Dog

Buddhists are not superstitious, but it's fun to learn about the Asian zodiac -- in one story, the 12 animals of the zodiac were attendant upon the birth of the infant Buddha. As in all astronomical system, the descriptions of a particular astronomical sign includes aspects of human behavior common to many of us.

People born in the Year of the Dog are said to have the strengths of loyalty, faithfulness, and deep attention to the words of others. In other words, dogs are good listeners! They make great teachers, activists, nurses, and doctors.
