Our Temple Is Celebrating Women’s History Month

March is Women’s History Month. We will also be celebrating International Women’s Day on March 8. During this month we remember and highlight the contributions of women to events in history and contemporary society.

The National Women’s History Alliance selects and publishes a yearly theme for this annual celebration. The 2020 Women’s History Month theme is “Valiant Women of the Vote.” The theme honors the brave women who fought to win suffrage rights for women, and for the women who continue to fight for the voting rights of others.

In celebration of this important date and month the Dana group is running a donation drive in support of Rachel’s Women’s Center. This drive will run from March 1st through the 29th. We will be collecting towels, underwear, socks, hygiene supplies, and other items. The collections box can be found in the temple’s dining area (2nd floor), and the complete list of needed items can be found here.
