Tax Statements to Be Mailed Feb.10, 2025, with Thanks

Thank You for Your Donations! A statement of your 2025 donation receipts will be mailed on or before Feb. 10, for your use in filing income tax returns. Thank you for your patience. If you do not receive your notice by Tuesday, Feb. 17, please contact the Temple so we can fix any problems on our side.

Under the Gun? We don’t want to leave you hanging. If you have a tight personal deadline for filing, please call the Temple or send an email, and we can send you a PDF of your letter and statement.

 

Notes

  1. TEMPLE vs AFFILIATED DONATIONS. Donations made directly to one of our affiliated organizations, such as the Dharma School or the Buddhist Women’s Association, will be acknowledged separately by that organization.

  2. CHECK WITH TAX ADVISOR Most fundraisers, in which you purchase a meal, or purchase of a chance in a raffle, do not qualify as a charitable contribution generally, as the price requested reflects value received — but please check with your tax advisor if you have questions.

  3. SIZE OF CONTRIBUTIONS. BTSD will send donation receipts for most amounts. The minimum donation requiring acknowledgment is $250, but most nonprofits wish to thank all their donors in sending out statements.

  4. TIMING. While there is no legally required deadline for these previous year statements to be mailed, we understand the need to provide them as soon as possible. We much appreciate your patience.
