GOMEINICHI -- Shinran's Monthly Memorial

Please join us in the Hondo (main hall) for GOMEINICHI, in which we express our gratitude to Shinran Shonin as the founder of our tradition. We will chant the Shoshin Nembutse Ge in his honor. Typically the memorial is held the 16th of each month in many Jodo Shinshu Temples.

The tradition has been maintained by our many resident ministers and in recent years by Rev. Hōkai “Smitty” Smith. We thank them all. Now Bill Teague, Certified Minister’s Assistant, will lead these services for the next few months.

The next Gomeinichi service will precede the Sunday Service on November 16 at 9 a.m., for chanting the Shoshinge, the short form of the Soshin Nembutsu Ge.
